Dear
Reader,
Three
years ago today, I started sending out the China Business
Briefing. What was then an instrument to help me - or
rather oblige me to - cope with the daily torrent of news
about the Chinese economy, has remained a fairly modest
and homespun affair ever since. Nevertheless the CBB has
found many loyal readers - in particular outside Swiss
government offices (!) - and I thank all of you who sent
notes of encouragement, thanks or suggestions. In particular,
I would like to express my thanks to Gérald Béroud
who did a wonderful job hosting the CBB, as well as a
complete archive, on his website (www.sinoptic.ch).
I
will leave China by the of July to take up a new posting
abroad, and my successor will have to decide, whether
she or he will be able to continue with the China Business
Briefing. Before I leave, I would like to up-date the
list of regular subscribers and collect a tiny bit of
statistics; hence I should appreciate to receive your
answers to the following 3 questions:
Your
answering the questions signifies that you would like
to receive the China Business Briefing in the future.
The last issue of the China Business Briefing coming from
this author (No 149 on 21 July) will go to the respondents
of the above questions only.
Yours
faithfully,
Jürg
Lauber
